About Us

Next Chapter Home Decor was started because of one woman's dream to provide a place where people could not only shop for, but learn, the art of creating beautiful furniture and home decor. This women is me, Jenny Marmion. I was born loving to create and teach, so upon retirement of a 33 year teaching career Next Chapter Home Decor was created.

Next Chapter Home Decor is nestled inside a beautiful historic building in Geneseo, IL, formerly called Wirthy Treasures.  In 2025 the store changed ownership and our new name is Oakwood Exchange, which is fitting due to our location being on the corner of Oakwood and Exchange Street.

Our store has many talented individuals that are expert in their craft of designing, repurposing, restoring, and creating unique and beautiful home decor. We believe in staying current, providing excellent customer service, and striving to continue learning all we can about the hottest trends to provide our customers.
